Why this podcast?
Life has its challenges, we were never designed to talk through it alone. This podcast is dedicated to exploring stories of others struggles and victories through life.
Community is the result of coming together and lifting each other up through shared experiences. Talking with people,
I began to learn their stories and the inspiration it gave me had to be shared somehow. And so Braving the Journey podcast was born.

Zach Mathers
THE MAN BEHIND THE MIC
Zach Mathers is someone that has always chased his dreams. From a young age starting a non-profit organization filming stories of suffering in injustice around the world to help bring exposure to situations no one was aware of. This helped shift his world view and have more love and compassion for others around him. Zach has always sought out to encourage others and help them live out their full potential.
Along the road of helping others Zach found himself struggling with Alcohol and the shame attached to it. He dove into counseling and a road of discovering the roots behind his addiction and the resources he needed to stay sober. Through that journey he had to address the shame he felt from his actions in life. Realizing the paralyzing power of shame Zach now works to share others stories and bring hope to people that are stuck in their own shame.
Zach now hosts a podcast called “Braving the Journey” and works to coach others out of a place of shame into living out their true identity. Zach is truly a cultural architect.
Everyone has a story. The purpose of the journey may be sharing it with others to uplift and encourage.
If you know someone who has a special story and think they would like to share it, or you would like to tell your own, connect with me, I'd love to talk story with you.
